Tuesday

That weather was so Scottish on that day. It changed a couple of times. Started with sun in the morning, then came a two minutes rainshower, sun again, suddenly it got windy, which means rain again, then sun, and rain again…. It’s really hard to know what to wear, cause you could change all the time. We got wet a little bit but decided, that we are tough and real Scottish, so we don’t mind some drops.

We finally met our adviser, who gave us three sheets of paper and said that we can choose any courses we want and come back then. Anyhow, we got an official stamp so that we finally got our ID-Cards. Now we are proper students!!!!!

After that we went to the Societies Fair, where all the societies introduced themselves to the Freshers. That took place in the Gallowgate Union and was just impressive. Loads of people tried to get you to sign up for there society and a couple of companies gave freebies away.

There were so many fucked up people there, just incredible. Additionally there are some clubs in town where you need an membershipcard to enter, so I got a couple of little plastic cards now.

In that way it is so easy for new people to get to know to other people, you just join a society and then you got it. That would also be nice back in Germany.
The main aim of any society is just to have fun and to get drunk. So actually it doesn’t matter, where you join. I signed up for that International society and will eventually join the road trip- and the Debaters Society. (Guess what they all do....)

In the afternoon we went to the beach and walked along the Promenade. Actually it was raining again... (what else..) But we saw a beautiful rainbow.
